I once went 48 hours without sleep during a stressful project at work. It started innocently enough just a late night or two trying to meet a deadline. But before I knew it, I had slipped into this weird cycle of staying up all night, working, and then crashing during the day for a few hours before getting back to the grind. The first day or so wasn’t too bad; I was fueled by adrenaline and coffee, and I was riding high on the sense of urgency. But by the second night, it was a whole different story.
